Kirk A. Murdock, M.D. is a general ophthalmologist specializing in the treatment of eye diseases and disorders.
Dr. Murdock was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry/Biology from Pomona College in Claremont, CA. He received his Medical Doctorate from the Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, LA. After finishing a Rotational Internship at Pacific Presbyterian Medical Center in San Francisco, he completed his Ophthalmology Residency at Northshore University/Cornell University Medical College in Manhasset, NY, where he served as Chief Resident.
Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology since 1995, Dr. Murdock has worked extensively throughout the Triad and North Carolina providing comprehensive patient-focused ophthalmic care. Besides experience managing a wide range of pathologies, he also performs multiple laser procedures including YAG capsulotomy, Peripheral iridotomy, and SLT.

Dr. Murdock and his wife, Leeann, have lived in North Carolina since 1996. They have 3 children and have recently become “empty-nesters.” In Dr. Murdock’s spare time, he enjoys playing the trombone and spending time with their high energy Aussie-Collie puppy named Tchai.
