Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner –Cheraw, SC – Part-Time –Individual will work under the supervision of the physicians of Carolina Eye Associates to see patients prior to their surgery to perform history and physical exams in an office setting. Will educate patients/families. Requires a valid South Carolina license as a Certified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner. EOE.
Physician Assistant – Greensboro and Winston-Salem, NC – PRN – Individual will work under the supervision of the physicians of Carolina Eye Associates to see patients prior to their surgery to perform history and physical exams in an office setting. Will educate patients/families. This is a PRN position, work will be performed at both the Greensboro and Winston-Salem NC offices. Requires a valid North Carolina license as a Certified Physician Assistant. EOE.
Patient Service Representative – Fayetteville, NC – Part Time – Register patients upon arrival, secure insurance or managed care authorization, and prepare chart. Post charges, request & post payment, submit daily deposit, and process insurance claims. High school diploma or equivalent required, prefer 1-2 years of ophthalmic or medical office experience performing related tasks and/or Associates Degree in related field (Business, Accounting, etc.). Billing Assistant – Phone Triage – Pinehurst, NC – Part-Time – Answer incoming calls regarding patient accounts. Review billing inquiry to determine course of action. Research discrepancies found in posted charges and payments, process accordingly. EOE.
CRA/Ophthalmic Photographer – Pinehurst NC – Full Time – Fast paced practice with exceptional staff seeking experienced photographer. Facility located in beautiful Pinehurst/Southern Pines NC. Photographer will perform OCT’s, Slit Lamp/External, ERG/VEP testing, Fundus, Florescein, ICG photography. High School diploma or equivalent education required. Prefer 1 – 2 years ophthalmic/photography experience, prefer COA or COT certification. Full-Time position with excellent benefits. EOE.
Insurance Billing Representative – Pinehurst, NC – Part-Time – Review EOBs for appeals and charge posting errors to resolve AR, assist with scanning, correspondence, filing, and perform other duties as requested. Require High School diploma or equivalent, prefer AAS degree in a business-related field. Require at least 1-year experience in insurance/billing or related field. Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Part-time position. EOE.
Ophthalmic Assistant – Pinehurst, NC – Full Time – Under the supervision of an Eye Center physician, the ophthalmic assistant obtains data from patients and performs duties that assist doctors in the evaluation of patient eye problems. Require High school diploma or equivalent education/training, prefer Associates Degree. Prefer COA or COT certification. Employee will be required to obtain COA within certain time period after hire, company will assist employee in obtaining COA. Require 1-3 years’ experience in ophthalmology or medical related tasks. Surgery Scheduler – Pinehurst, NC – Part Time – Scheduling surgical procedures: verify benefits, coverage, deductibles, out of pocket payment, and managed care authorizations. Counsel patients on insurance information and costs, collect payment, issue receipts, and post payments. Prepare chart for surgery and create surgery schedules. High School Diploma or equivalent required, Associates Degree preferred, 1 – 3 years in medical office or related field required. Part-Time position, EOE.
