Nicholas D. Marchase, M.D.is a specialist of the retina, macula and vitreous. His specialty includes the treatment and surgery of diseases and disorders affecting the back of the eye, including diabetic eye disease, macular degeneration, retinal detachment, macular hole, epiretinal membrane (macular pucker) and trauma to the eye.

Dr. Marchase attended Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn. He received his medical degree from University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham, Ala. and served his internship at Baptist Health System in Birmingham. He completed his residency at Nassau University Medical Center in Long Island, N.Y. where he served as chief resident. Dr. Marchase received his fellowship in diseases and surgery of the retina and vitreous from the Charles Retina Institute in Memphis, Tenn.

He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
