The Diabetic Eye Service

The Diabetic Eye Service is dedicated to excellence in the diagnosis and treatment of diabetic eye disease, a group of eye problems that includes diabetic retinopathy, cataract, and glaucoma, all of which are worsened by inadequate blood sugar control. Diabetic retinopathy is one of the leading causes of vision impairment among adults with diabetes. It is often without symptoms in its early stages, and vision changes may not occur until the disease has progressed severely.

Diabetic retinopathy can be treated with laser surgery, which can significantly reduce the risk of further vision loss. Since early detection and treatment are vital to preserving vision, it is extremely important that diabetic patients undergo regular eye exams.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us today for more information or to schedule an appointment.
