Robert O. Handley, M.D.

Dr. Robert Handley is a general ophthalmologist and specializes in the treatment of eye diseases and disorders.

He received his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin and served his internship at the University of Tennessee. He completed his internship at Talmadge Memorial Hospital, Medical College of Georgia. Dr.Handley opened a private practice, Asheboro Ophthalmology Associates, in Asheboro, NC in 1971. The practice merged its operations with Carolina Eye Associates in 2008.

Dr. Handley is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and the National Board of Medical Examiners. He is also a member of the Randolph County Medical Society.

He and his wife, Deborah, live in Asheboro and enjoy sailing, golf, woodworking, motorcycles, and radio-controlled helicopters, and airplanes. They are the parents to five daughters.
