Billing & InsurancePayment for noninsured services is expected at each visit. Our centers accept cash, personal checks, and major credit cards including MasterCard, Visa, and Discover. We also offer financing plans and payment plans for those requiring care to save a patient’s vision. We accept Medicare and Medicaid assignment and participate in Aetna, BCBS, CHAMPUS, CIGNA, OptiCare, TRICARE, United Health, and numerous other insurance PPO programs. We also participate in the Medicare PFFS plans. As a service to you, we will be happy to process your insurance forms. Insurance Insurance policies are an agreement between the patient and their insurance company. It is the patient’s responsibility to pay any deductible amount, co-insurance, or other balance not paid by their insurance the day of their appointment. Some insurance companies, including Carolina ACCESS Medicaid, require patients to obtain a referral form from their primary care doctor in order to obtain medical attention.
